Why? Because they could sell more Kindle books WITH the Audible accompanying narration! What a boon for seniors who might be either hearing or vision impaired but maybe able to read a Kindle book on their 5 foot wide TV screen, or hear it clearly on their home hi-fi system, or both on their PC with its better speakers and large enough monitor. Amazon should be working to make Kindle with Immersion reading capability on, not just Firestick, but also Google Chromecast, Roku, Netgear NeoTV, Windows 10, Kodi, Plex and anywhere else. It doesn't matter that the screen is only 5.5 inches wide in landscape mode and the book then has 400-500 pages because the Immersion reading automatically advances pages for me, saving hundreds of finger swipes and probably a lot of wear on the display screen. 99% of the time, I'm listening to Kindle eBooks on my phone using Immersion reading.
